Radio that needs no licences

A plain-English summary you can hand to a landlord, franchisor, or inspector who asks what music is playing in your rooms and who cleared it.

What is RadioThat playing?
Original instrumental and wordless-vocal recordings generated for RadioThat. Nothing in the catalog is a cover, sample, re-recording, or remix of a commercially released song.
Who owns the recordings?
RadioThat owns or exclusively controls every master in the catalog and grants each subscribing venue a licence to play it publicly during the subscription term.
Do we still need a PRO licence (ASCAP / BMI / SESAC / PRS)?
PRO licences cover the performance of works in those societies' repertoires. RadioThat's catalog is not registered with a PRO and contains no PRO-affiliated compositions, so playing RadioThat alone does not trigger a PRO obligation. If the venue also plays radio, TV, or streaming services, those uses are licensed separately.
What about the composition, not just the recording?
Both the recording and the underlying composition originate with RadioThat's generation pipeline. There is no third-party songwriter share to clear.
Is there a per-location fee?
Yes — the venue plan is billed per location, so each address on the account is separately covered.
How do we prove coverage if we're asked?
Print this page and keep it with your Stripe invoices. The invoice shows the licensed location count and the active term.

Not legal advice

This page describes how RadioThat licenses its own catalog. It isn't legal advice about your local obligations — if your venue plays other sources, check those separately. Questions: contact@radiothat.com.
